CONTENT CREATION PORTFOLIO

I love making ideas where no one else is creating; my competitive nature manifests in originality. When I do create projects in saturated markets they're always aimed towards a new audience or with a different flavor that sets us apart. Why fight for eyeballs and listeners when you can be the only one in the space? I have always been a content creator in some capacity. Every stage of my life has been marked by side projects that I created from the ground up alongside classmates, colleagues, coworkers, etc. Below is a collection of work that I've produced as well as projects I am currently developing.

Nerdist: 7 D&D Podcasts That Are All Critical Hits!

Future Plans
We saw an exponential growth in listeners during Season 2 and over the summer that growth has continued due to an exhibitor booth at Gen Con Online, and packed seminars/panels throughout the weekend.

I am currently negotiating multiple companies to turn our fourth season and new campaign into a video series filmed in their studio. The project will either be distributing through The Fantasy Network or looking for networks or outlets that would be interested in picking up the series. The perfect partner for this would be a network looking for the next Critical Role or The Adventure Zone. We anticipate needing $100-$120k to properly produce this project.

A Very Charging Moose Holiday - www.chargingmoosemedia.com/christmas

Every year Marcus Thorne Bagala and I gather some of the best musicians in New York City and create original holiday music. Each project is a mix of original songs, public domain hymns and carols reimagined for contemporary styles. 2019 marked the fourth one of these projects we've produced.

Each album is an incredible collection of talent; both in the recordings we've made and the potential for these songs to be packaged and sold to musicians looking to record original holiday music. I've always wanted to explore trying to place these tracks in the holiday movies on Netflix, Lifetime, Hallmark, and more.

Roles: Producer, Singer, Songwriter

A Very Charging Moose Christmas - 2016
Sleigh Bells and Snow Angels - 2017
The Astoria Sessions (Live) - 2018
Songs by Candlelight - 2019
Future Plans
We are planning on making one of these every year. Additionally we're looking into recording an off-season album of originals that aren't holiday music to diversify our catalogue. Next year we hope to have a live show in New York City to showcase this music.

The Hunted: Encore - www.thehuntedencore.com

An Action Comedy, Rock Musical, Mockumentary Web Series about New York City Vampire Slayers. A spinoff of The Hunted, the longest running web series on the internet.

  • Winner of over 70 awards from more than 50 festivals worldwide

  • Actor - Ned
  • Screenwriter
  • Editor / Color Grade Artist
  • Producer
Quick Stats
12 episodes (~90 minute in total)

Future Plans
This piece is a business card I am using to pitch myself to networks to develop high quality, unique musical content. I would love to be part of the team that writes and executes musical episodes for network TV shows.

The third season of this show has been developed, and is ready to move on to the next stages should we have the funding. Additionally, other production companies have expressed interest in creating spinoff musical series in places such as Russia, Brazil, Los Angeles, and more.

The Turf Sports - www.theturfsports.com

A collaboration between me and Broadway actor Justin Colombo. We both are lifelong sports fans and wanted to create a place where artists who like sports could write. We have since developed some incredible writers who are offering insight and takes you won't find anywhere else. The site has between 100,000 and 150,000 unique visits a year.

Roles

Future Plans
Right now we are continuing to grow our audience. We are developing a couple of podcast projects that could spin off of this, including:
  • A crossover podcast with Encounter Party! called "Fantasy Sportsball" where improv artists improvise a SportsCenter-style highlights show about sports that don't actually exist. [IN DEVELOPMENT WITH THE FANTASY NETWORK]
  • A podcast examining the connection between theatre and sports, and telling the stories where they collide.
  • A podcast for LGBTQi and Trans voices talk about sports and their connections to them.

Projects in Active Development

Fantasy Sportsball (Fiction Podcast/Web Series)

Logline:
The sports aren’t real. The highlights are fake. The debates are monstrous.

It’s the hottest sports show in the fantasy realm! Watch Landree, Thaddeus, and Jay go head to head, toe to toe, fang to tail over the latest news in Major League Mythical Monsters. For spells, highlights, and updates, Fantasy Sportsball brings you all the coverage you need of the real fantasy sports.

You need your Fantasy Sports, and Fantasy Sportsball has it all. Even Curling.

This podcast is currently being funded and developed in collaboration with Zombie Orpheus Entertainment for The Fantasy Network.

Rude Mechanical (Fiction Podcast)

Logline:
ZOE’s wild behind-the-scenes series—featuring dimension hopping CEO Zoe Adastra—returns as a true crime podcast in the style of SERIAL.

In the worst of all possible timelines—in a multiverse where anything that we can imagine exists somewhere—a rogue investigative journalist uncovers the startling facts behind Zoe Adastra’s disappearance.

This podcast is currently being funded and developed in collaboration with Zombie Orpheus Entertainment for The Fantasy Network.

10,000 Dong (Musical Web Series)

A story about an up-and-coming Vietnamese-American rapper in the Brooklyn battle rap scene.

This project is currently filling gaps on its development team before continuing forward

Living in Fantasy (Fiction Podcast)

Logline:
Satire journalism telling real stories of real people from the fantasy realm.

From the creators of Encounter Party! comes a hard-hitting show about the people often overlooked in fantasy epics. We’ve heard the tales of heroes and villains, but what of the regular people? Fantasy journalist Brian David Judkins takes a deep look at the hardships of normal life in the fantasy realm. From dangerous magic abuse among teens, to a dragon’s effect on the housing market, this program takes an honest look at the real truth of living in fantasy.

This podcast is currently being funded and developed in collaboration with Zombie Orpheus Entertainment for The Fantasy Network.

Argos (Fiction Podcast)

A Sci-Fi Americana Adaptation of the Odyssey as told through the lens of two truckers in love with each other over the CB Radio. This project was originally intended to be pitched as a tv mini series or feature film, but audio drama is a much more affordable medium to build in without funding.

This show is currently in development with a goal of completed scripts this fall.

Untitled Eulogies Podcast (Storytelling)

I hate obituaries. They are emotionless collections of facts that tell me nothing about someone who's died. And they're the only thing left when you google someone. This podcast will bring a guest to the studio where we introduce the listener to someone who's passed, and then that guest will either press play on a recording of, or read live, the eulogy they delivered at that person's funeral.

Based on my experience of losing my parents to cancer and having to write their eulogies.

This podcast is currently being scripted and developed with a goal of 5 completed episodes by the end of the summer.

Projects in the Pipeline

My development philosophy is I work hard to know when projects are ready for direct attention, and which need more incubation. I have 100 ideas a year, 95 of which will never make it farther than the bad idea phase. The following is a list of projects that I have moved forward on, and then decided to put back in the incubator for the time being to focus on other projects
Untitled Volleyball Musical (Stage Musical)
A musical about a YMCA beach volleyball league in southern California. The action of the play will be dictated by live volleyball, with a script for every possible winner and loser.

The story chart has been made that allows me to know exactly how many scripts / scenes / songs need to be written to accomplish the idea. I have not yet moved into the scripting phase.
Sonder (Musical Web Series)
An anthology web series that follows the connections that tie us to New York City. Every episode will feature a single story in a character's life. At some point during the episode they will interact directly and meaningfully with the subject of the next episode.

This series was pitched at the Bilbao Seriesland Film Festival in Spain in 2018. It didn't win the pitch contest as they wanted something Spanish focused but all the judges sought me out to express they felt it was the best idea and they were looking forward to following its development. It has not gone beyond conceptual ideas at this time.
Snowstorm (Fiction Podcast)
A sci-fi thriller about a disease that threatens to eradicate the human race, and the one scientist who can cure it. He is locked inside his cabin and the disease is slowly decaying his mind. Will he cure the disease before it consumes him?

This project has been completely written, however it needs another round of edits before going into pre-production
White River Junction (Fiction POdcast)
A murder mystery whodunnit where every episode is the lead detective interviewing a different suspect in a murder. The show will be told through a combination of flashback and interview, with the audience left to decide who actually committed the crime.

I was working with a writer to get this idea to a fully functioning version, but it became clear the idea needed more incubation and thought before moving forward.

At the Table: A Play Reading Series
www.chargingmoosemedia.com/atthetablepodcast

A podcast featuring new plays from emerging playwrights produced as audio dramas featuring Broadway and New York actors. We produced an entire first season before running out of funding support.

www.encounterparty.com/living-in-fantasy

Millennial

A podcast about coming of age.

I was brought on as the producer to help the hit podcast Millennial end. I worked directly with showrunner Megan Tan to develop and write the final sets of episodes, and help her end the show on her own terms.
